Unforgettable wedding at Lake Bled, Slovenia

If I had to pick the most fun wedding I’ve ever attended, it would definitely be Sheridan and Peter’s! This energetic American-Slovenian couple celebrated their wedding at Lake Bled and I was lucky enough to be part of it. Besides their wedding day being a whole lot of fun, Sheridan and Peter are also two truly amazing people and I just love how their joyful personalities shine through in their wedding video as well.

The couple tied the knot on a hot summer day at Vila Bled, an elegant wedding venue on the shores of Lake Bled. Their wedding brought together family and friends from all over the world. The event with more than fifty guests was organised by Tatjana Ovsenek from Chic Weddings. She really did an amazing job taking care of every little detail.

Vila Bled – one of the best wedding venues in Slovenia

Even though I’ve been there more times than I can count, I’m still blown away by how beautiful Lake Bled is every time I visit. With its picture-perfect lake with a little island in the middle, a medieval castle on a rocky cliff by its side, and majestic Alpine peaks in the backdrop, this place truly feels like you have stepped into some enchanting fairytale novel setting. It therefore comes as no surprise that Bled is one of the top wedding destinations in Slovenia.

Sheridan and Peter chose Vila Bled as their wedding venue. This classy villa, once Marshal Tito’s favorite holiday home, is situated in the middle of a lush park right on the shores of the lake. Its prime location, with a stunning view of the blue waters of Lake Bled, makes it a lovely private setting for a dreamy wedding.

The couple had their wedding ceremony outside in the lush garden by the lake. And as if the place wasn’t beautiful enough, the team from Cvetličarna Omers made everything even prettier with gorgeous white and pink flower arrangements. Sheridan wore a simple yet elegant white wedding dress designed by Ines di Santo. Her relaxed hairstyle by Katja Mahne, a long, flowing veil in her hair, and natural-looking makeup by Anja Kolenc perfectly complemented the style of her dress. As for Peter, he went with a classic black suit and a grey tie from Poročni atelje Karizma. They both looked stunning!

Sheridan and Peter’s ceremony was hands down one of the best (and the most fun) wedding ceremonies I’ve ever been to. From the beer boy handing out everyone a can of cold beer before the start to the most adorable dog, Simba, carrying the wedding rings to the altar – seriously, it’s really hard to pick a favorite moment here.

After the ceremony, it all continued in the Vila Bled Atrium where the reception was held. As always, the food was amazing, but the real highlight for me was the speeches. Sheridan’s father and the best men made everyone tear up, laugh, and then laugh till it hurt. The reception dinner was then followed by a wild party filled with dancing and laughter. And while the B&B DJ team kept the guests on the dance floor, photographers Aljaž and Nejc made sure Sheridan and Peter would remember not only their wedding ceremony but also the fun they had at their wedding party for years to come.
